A Sunday stroll

After the last few weeks of rain it was nice, today, to see blue sky. So we didn't waste the nice weather, we drove to Garmouth, parked up and walked the Speyside Way to Spey Bay.
It's only a couple of miles along the old railway line and across the bridge. We stopped to see some fellas playing golf but apart from that we only met two other black Labradors and their owners. A big change from when we walked it the other month when we met every man and his dog!

The river used to be one big section of water but now, as you can see, after the floods it has changed course and runs all over the place. There were so many pebbles and trees washed down stream that the water direction has changed completely.
Once we got there we stopped for coffee and biscuits (sensibly packed as it was too cold to buy ice cream)and Mossy had a quick dip in the sea (or the Moray Firth if we're being correct!!), I took a few photos and we started the walk home.
The sun was in my eyes on the way home and this was all I could see. Makes a brilliant picture though. I'm so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. All this on my doorstep and it doesn't cost a penny.

  1. Good Morning Liz...
I just awoken to the most beautiful photos again of the week. I love to come over and see what you are up to. I love the photo of the bridge. I feel as though I am crossing right behind you. It is so peaceful and beautiful there.

I love the pics of the river too. What a beautiful photo you have taken with the grasses and all in view. It is just awesome.

The photo of the sea is breath taking. I too, would be taking my shoes off and walking in it, just to know how alive we really are, and because like you, you so appreciate this freedom and beauty that you can take in at your will.

I pray you and your family are all okay on this beautiful Sunday. Thank you for sharing it with me. I so love coming here. Your photos always make me so happy inside. Thank you Liz. Stop by and say hi. Country hugs...Sherry
