Holding Hands for Heroes
This afternoon the people of Moray were asked to Hold Hands for Heroes.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Elgin, Holding Hands for Heroes is a tribute to the Armed Forces currently fighting in Afghanistan and elsewhere and also as a fund-raising event for Help for Heroes. At 3pm on Sunday, September 12, it is hoped that 6000 with link hands to form a human chain from the gates of RAF Lossiemouth to Elgin Town Hall. Participants of all ages were asked to buy tickets at a minimum of £1 each for five colour-coded areas of the route.

What a brilliant idea for such a worthy cause.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea, these guys (and girls) deserve to be the focus of our thoughts. Love the photo you have used for this post too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea and a great way to raise awareness in the young and old alike. Love your photo :o)
ReplyDeleteShame they didn't manage to make a continuous chain from Elgin to Lossie but I expect a decent amount was raised for the charity.
