A Winter's Walk

Fed up of being indoors and trying to fix computers, hubby decided he needed to get out.
We drove 40 minutes down the road to Brazos Bend State Park.
We walked around a different lake today which took us through the trees.

Past tree loaded with Spanish Moss.
We saw red cardinals and black vultures.
Luckily we didn't see any snakes or spiders.

We didn't see any alligators either but we could hear them across the lake.

Winter in Texas.
Blue skies and great temperatures.

  1. Lovely day for a walk ... that last shot is reminiscent of Scotland, don't you think?

  3. Oh I long for the outside walks ... too much ice under the snow. I watch travel DVD's while on the treadmill, makes me feel like I'm (a) outside (b) getting somewhere. I like your second photo with the Spanish Moss hanging from the trees.
