The Eulogy
Who would have thought it so difficult to help write a eulogy
for someone you loved so much.
Well let me tell you, I found it extremely difficult.
I had lots of little notes written down but just couldn't link them together.
Thankfully my sister is much better at it than I am.
She included everything I had written down without even knowing it.
She has written an absolutely wonderful piece and I am so proud of her.
Beautiful red tulips. Soon there will be tulips blooming in our gardens. Yeah. Nice to have such a wonderful big sister.
ReplyDeleteIt was my younger sister who managed to put together some thoughts for our brother's memorial service last year, and the same thing occurred - she managed to include all the same things the rest of us would, if only we could have managed. That's the beauty of family and their shared experiences.
ReplyDeleteOh Liz,
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for you reading your last several posts.
I know your mum felt your love.
I wrote my dad's eulogy and obituary, and did it in the
story-telling way that I knew he would have loved.
Rinda
I'm thinking about you both today x
ReplyDeleteMany hugs!
